  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

*This recipe makes 6 servings of egg bites. The prep time is approximately 10 minutes. The cooking time is 15 – 20 minutes.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it becomes crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on a paper towel to remove excess grease. Let it cool, then crumble or chop it into small pieces.
  3. In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place a small amount of crumbled bacon into each muffin cup, distributing it evenly.
  5. Pour the beaten eggs into each cup, filling them about three-quarters full. Leave a little space for the eggs to expand while baking.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the egg mixture in each cup.
  7. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs are set and slightly golden on top.
  8. Remove the tin from the oven and let the egg and bacon bites cool for a few minutes.
  9. Carefully remove the bites from the muffin tin and place them on a serving platter.
